MMW Participates in ISOC BOLT and Resiliency Grantee Meeting in Nairobi
Written by Alinah Kallon
Media Matters for Women (MMW) joined grantees from across Africa at the Internet Society’s (ISOC) BOLT and Resiliency Grantee Meeting in Nairobi, Kenya. Our Programs Director, Alinah Oliet Kallon, and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer Abibatu Kamara proudly represented MMW at this important convening.
The meeting brought together innovators and community organizations working to strengthen digital resilience and expand connectivity in underserved regions. It was a valuable opportunity to share MMW’s work in Sierra Leone, particularly the Digitruck Salone Project, which provides digital education and training for women and girls in last-mile communities.
Through peer learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, the event deepened our understanding of how digital access and resiliency are being advanced across the continent. It also strengthened connections with partners who share our vision of bridging the digital divide for women and youth.
MMW is grateful to ISOC for this platform and looks forward to building on the insights and networks gained in Nairobi to amplify women’s voices, expand digital literacy, and strengthen climate and community resilience in Sierra Leone.
