Staff and field workers across MMWSL’s three regions of operation have received their Christmas bonuses as the festive celebrations commences. The Christmas bonus initiative is a yearly event that has been going on since the organization’s establishment. Over eighty staff which includes field workers received the bonus in the form of cash in appreciation of their contribution to making the organization achieve its yearly sets goals and to motivate them to continue to work harder in the New Year. Before presenting the cash to the field workers, the Executive Director of MMWSL, Florence Sesay explained that the bonus is usually sponsored by the Founder of the MMW Sharon Bylenga, through the support of her mum, Sally Blevins, who has been very supportive to the organization.
Florence used the platform to read the Christmas message from MMW Chair, UK, Lisa Sebree which highlights the successes recorded this year and plans for the coming year. Expressing her appreciation for the bonus, Marian Sarah Kamara, a Youth Advocate stated, ‘The bonus is a blessing especially in this period that prices of commodities keeps rising in the country. With this, I can buy a bag of rice and other food items that can serve my family even after the holidays” she concluded. Other field workers also registered their appreciation for such blessing. In a mood of excitement, they jubilantly sent a thank you video message and Christmas
greetings to the sponsors and to MMW for allowing them to serve their communities and villages.
