Using any form of birth control is difficult for women in Sierra Leone due to the traditional and religious beliefs surrounding birth control. Because of this, unplanned pregnancy and maternal death rates are high. Many young girls are forced too drop out of school to care for their babies. In this segment of the podcast, MMW engages with nurses at the PPASL government hospital to discuss the importance of birth control for women.
